Quality Control Technician - Collaborative Environment

Currently hiring for a Quality Control Technician in Streetsboro, OH. Must have experience with Solid works. 

Starting salary $50,000.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties:

• Work closely with operations and the business functions to ensure quality performance of products and processes.
• Calibration of test and measuring equipment. Will work with outside vendors for the calibration and purchasing of gauging equipment.
• Review of change management activities. Assists with SPC, Capability Study, Gage R&R, and Inspection analysis support for the operating units.
• Operate common measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers, as well as specialized measuring tools such as Hardness Testers, Durometer.
• Documents results of tests on ERP databases and maintains quality records in a centralized database.
• Develop proficiency in statistical methods and application.
• Perform inspections and internal audits in all production areas and coordinate efforts between Production and Engineering.
• Reports and assists production with internal non conformances investigation.
• Reverse engineer parts and draw them in Solid Edge (training will be provided)
• Supervise incoming materials quality checks.
• Must interact at professional level with production staff, technical staff and management team.
• Other duties as assigned

Required

• 2+ years of experience in Quality Systems
• ISO, Blueprint Reading, GD&T, etc.
• ERP experience
• High level of PC skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel

Preferred

• CAD, drawings and blueprint reading experience
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge
• Understanding of Quality Management Systems
• Have a good understanding of quality concepts / theories
