Job Overview

The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for coordinating, overseeing, implementing, and documenting the Quality Control Program.

THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing the quality control for day-to-day site assessment operations.
Participates and develops the training of employees on QC policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ensures contract compliance with all tasks being performed and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines for accurate reporting.
Ability to accurately enter data into software applications.
Ability to work as part of a team with limited supervision.
Lead and attend QC & operations meetings.
Collaborate with other QC Specialists to maintain project progress, ensuring timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
Support project documentation and reporting, including creating and maintaining project charters, work breakdown structures, and project status reports.
Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination and communication among project stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of efficiency initiatives.
Handle escalated project-related issues and conflicts, working towards resolution and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

Mandatory:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Prefered engineering degree or degree in construction management.
Seven (7) years' Experience with Military Construction (MILCON) program in planning, designing, or building infrastructure including runways, piers, warehouses, barracks, schools, hospitals, child development centers and other facilities to support US military forces in CONUS/OCONUS.
Current certificate of completion of Construction Quality Management for Contractors Class (CQM-C)
Strong working knowledge of construction trades means, methods, equipment and tools.
Good understanding of Government construction contracting.
Sound working knowledge of Federal, State and local construction quality safety and environmental regulations.
Ability to read and interpret construction specifications and blueprints.
Ability to determine through inspection that specifications, safety regulations and quality standards are met.
Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
Mature judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
