Perform inspections including First Piece, KPC, DTS, torque verification, Harmony Reviews, and other quality checks in accordance with Control Plans and the Business Operating System (BOS).
Verify product quality using approved measuring equipment and inspection methods.
Perform capability studies, Gage R&R, and other quality evaluations as required.
Ensure proper identification of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
Quality Control & Documentation
Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns while initiating containment activities for nonconforming material.
Maintain accurate quality records and ensure inspection documents and controlled work instructions remain current.
Support Engineering Changes and maintain evidence required for customer-specific quality requirements.
Assist with sorting, rework, and inspection activities as needed.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, APQP, PPAP, trial builds, and engineering changes.
Issue supplier discrepancy notifications (DMNs), monitor Quality Alerts, and escalate quality concerns per established procedures.
Communicate breakpoints and quality issues to appropriate stakeholders.
Collaboration & Safety
Partner with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all company safety policies.
Complete required documentation accurately and perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED.
One year of automotive manufacturing or quality experience.
Experience using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, and fixtures).
Basic knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and statistical concepts.
Strong communication, analytical, and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Preferred
Associate degree in a technical or quality-related field.
ASQ Quality Technician certification.
Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, IATF 16949, capability studies, and Gage R&R.
