Position Overview:
The Quality Director is responsible for developing and implementing strategic goals, plans, and standards that align with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements of the organization. This leadership role focuses on enhancing departmental operations, ensuring quality control, and managing financial and human resources efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement departmental goals and plans aligned with organizational objectives. Ensure compliance with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical standards.
- Direct and evaluate department operations in areas such as patient care, information technologies, service level determinations, and complaint management. Coordinate and direct internal and external audits.
- Plan and monitor hiring, orientation, evaluation, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Create an environment that promotes professional growth.
- Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets. Ensure operations are in compliance with allocated funding.
- Serve as the facility Patient Safety Officer. Maintain confidentiality of departmental information.
- Promote high-quality healthcare services in a compassionate and respectful manner. Ensure adherence to Standards of Excellence, Behavior, and Professional Appearance and Conduct.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current NC Nursing License or Multistate Nursing License is mandatory. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via the American Heart Association is preferred.
Minimum Work Experience:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience is required. Experience in medical and/or pharmaceutical sales is advantageous.
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and operate effectively in high-stress environments.
