Quality Director - Precision Sheet Metal & Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced Quality Director to lead our Quality Management System, oversee ISO 9001:2015 compliance, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and build a world-class quality culture throughout the organization.

This role reports directly to executive leadership and is responsible for customer quality, supplier quality, quality systems, metrology, compliance, and shipping operations. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys building systems, developing people, solving complex manufacturing challenges, and making a measurable impact within a growing organization.

What You'll Do

Lead the Quality Organization

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Quality and Shipping professionals


• Establish accountability, performance expectations, and professional development plans


• Foster a culture where quality is owned by every employee


• Partner with leadership to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement

Own the Quality Management System

• Serve as the owner of Prismier's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System


• Lead internal audits, customer audits, supplier audits, and third-party certification audits


• Maintain document control, procedures, work instructions, and quality records


• Conduct Management Reviews and ensure ongoing audit readiness


• Drive corrective and preventive actions throughout the organization

Customer, Supplier & Operational Quality

• Lead customer corrective actions and nonconformance investigations


• Perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies


• Develop and strengthen supplier quality programs and supplier performance metrics


• Collaborate with domestic and international manufacturing partners to ensure compliance with quality standards


• Support quality planning activities including APQP, PPAP, First Article Inspection, and FAIR submissions

Metrology & Quality Systems

• Oversee calibration, metrology, and inspection activities


• Manage quality performance metrics and reporting


• Administer and optimize UniPoint Quality Management Software


• Utilize data to drive quality improvements and strategic decision-making

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Technology, or a related field


• Or have 10+ years of manufacturing quality experience


• 5+ years of quality leadership experience


• Extensive ISO 9001:2015 experience


• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, First Article Inspection, and structured problem-solving methodologies


• Experience leading internal, customer, supplier, and third-party audits


• Advanced GD&T and blueprint interpretation skills


• Hands-on metrology and inspection experience


• Proven ability to build teams and drive organizational improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UniPoint Quality Management Software


• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)


• ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)


• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt


• Lead Auditor Certification

Compensation & Benefits

$125,000 - $150,000 annually

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
