This position is for a Quality Engineer at our facility in Charlotte, NC.
Manage the following systems: customer complaints, change control, CAPA’s, deviations/investigations, internal audits.
Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate. Support training of new systems and procedures where appropriate.
Support the ISO 9001:2008 Quality, ISO14001:2004 Environmental and the ISO18001:2007 Safety systems. Follow up with audits on closed non-conformances.
Coordinate activities associated with “first article build” of new products, ensuring that fabricated items are traceable to documented standards at the time of release of product into the production mode
Develop test methods/procedures to support product validation efforts. Perform performance validation tests to meet customer specifications. Generate test reports of performance validation tests.
Lead, and/or participate in both proactive and reactive problem-solving sessions. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) exercises with plant personnel and develop processes based on RCA that will drive waste reduction.
Provide oversight of the manufacture of products to ensure that engineering documentation is consistent with manufacturing methods employed.
Maintain all Mutually Agreed Upon Specifications between all customers and MM Packaging.
Review and analyze production data to determine where high waste areas exist in the production process.
Must be able to utilize time management & multi-tasking skills to keep up with the demands of coordinating all the process improvement activities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 5 years of Quality Engineering experience required
Manufacturing experience required.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
Experience as a ISO Leader Auditor preferred

Must possess complex problem-solving methodologies

Excellent written and verbal communications skills
A team player and strong project manager
Self- driven to deliver quality results on time
Must be resourceful, strategic and possess excellent analytical abilities.

Must be a person who approaches the job pro-actively
Must be a strong supporter of continuous improvement
Must be willing and able to travel within the US and overseas
