Quality Engineer

Overview:

Signalink is looking to hire a Quality Engineer that will work with a diverse team in support of the SHIELD Project Office providing critical support to the GEM-T weapon system in the LTI Product Office.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead and support quality management initiatives, including Quality Management System (QMS) assessments, technical reviews, requirements development, and Statement of Work (SOW) input.


• Oversee production and testing activities such as production line validation, Technical Data Package (TDP) development, Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), Acceptance Test Plan creation, First Article Testing, and Factory Acceptance Testing.


• Manage inspection, testing, and validation processes, including inspection and test equipment verification, nonconforming material management, material release statements, and critical characteristics management.


• Drive process improvement through continuous improvement techniques, statistical process control (SPC), root cause and failure analysis, corrective action implementation, defect tracking, and trend analysis.


• Collaborate with supply chain management and cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards, compliance, and successful delivery of products.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field from an accredited college or university

• +15 years of applicable experience in a government or contractor setting


• Active secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one


• Ability to travel 10% of the time

Preferred Experience and Knowledge:

• Familiarity with the GEM-T weapon system or PATRIOT missile system.


• Proficient in interpreting and translating complex schematics, engineering drawings, and specifications.


• Knowledgeable of the development, manufacturing, and/or sustainment of weapons systems.


• Capable of working effectively in a multi-disciplinary, team-oriented environment.
