Analyzes production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality defect detection and reporting and programs to improve. Supports disposition of supplier quality issues in manufacturing applying criteria. Conducts preliminary analysis of quality escapes to assign further investigation to appropriate investigation function. Utilizes 8D methodology to drive manufacturing owned escapes through root cause analysis and CAPA (Corrective Action, Preventive Action) planning and execution. Ensures systematic solutions are fully deployed and presents RCCA (root-cause corrective action) to stakeholders. Monitors quality of Investigation & RCCA (Root Cause/Corrective Action) conducted by stakeholders (Product Groups and Supply Chain) ensuring high probability that issues will not recur in MFG. Supports all Global Quality and GOPS quality projects and Management System Assessments (Audits) Compiles information on external and internal quality issues (NCI and NCE) and all build issues quantifying rate of improvement over successive builds and identifying top problems and opportunities. Presents this information at Product Development and Release (PDR) Cross Functional Team (CFT) reviews ensuring the full team continues to mitigate risk in support of transitions to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM). Presents Quality data at PDR transition reviews. Perform GEMBAs on manufacturing clean room floor and interview technicians to investigate quality escapes and gather information on potential causes. Review build instructions, perform risk assessments and provide feedback to MFE (manufacturing engineering) on manufacturability of deposition products. At times, may update build process instructions for manufacturing inspections and quality checks. Drives quality improvement initiatives and projects on key organization objectives through aligned project management methodologies such as DMAIC, 8D, PSDMP, etc Present and communicate manufacturing caused defect RCCAs to stakeholders such as global accounts teams that interface with regularly with Lam customers. Participate in quality analytics dashboard development and validation. Update and draft manufacturing quality process documentation. Participate in continuous improvement project teams as a representative of the Manufacturing Quality Department. Bachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Engineering equivalent) plus 5 years of experience or Master's degree. Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment Demonstrated ability to communicate and work collaboratively with technicians building and testing product in clean room environment Lean Six Sigma Skills and/or Project Management experience Knowledge on ISO 9K and ISO requirements Experience using PowerBi and QMS Experience with process document writing and process mapping
