Quality Inspection Supervisor

What you’ll do

• Lead and supervise inspectors responsible for incoming, in‑process, and final inspections
• Communicate quality requirements clearly and ensure proper flow‑down of internal and contractual standards
• Plan and assign inspection resources to support production schedules and priorities
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate inspection team members
• Ensure inspections are completed accurately, on time, and fully documented
• Maintain organized inspection and quarantine areas
• Improve inspection processes to increase consistency, efficiency, and accuracy
• Analyze inspection data to identify defect trends and root causes
• Partner with engineering and quality experts to drive continuous improvement

What you need

• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills – required
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and quality standards – required
• Quality inspection experience in electronics or electro‑mechanical manufacturing (10+ years) – required
• Supervisory experience leading teams of 5–10 employees (5+ years) – required
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries – preferred
• Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100 – preferred
• Familiarity with electrostatic discharge control standards – preferred
• Technical degree in mechanical or electrical engineering – a plus
