Quality Inspector

Hotstart, Inc. has an opening for a Quality Inspector. We are seeking a detail-oriented, team-focused individual who will use precision measuring equipment to inspect materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

•  Inspect incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting nonconforming materials.
•  Inspect in-process production by confirming specifications; conducts visual and measurement tests; communicates required adjustments to the Line Leads. 
•  Inspect finish product by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; identifying nonconforming products for rework or scrap.
•  Use all QA measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, depth gages, height gages, plug and ring gages, etc.). 
•  Use electric test equipment (hipot/megohm, ohm meters, etc.). 
•  Read and interpret inspection plans and drawings with variable and attribute specifications.
•  Maintain an organized work area and accurate inspection records. 
•  Perform 100% inspection on large lots of material when required. 
•  Maintain and care of inspection and measuring equipment.
•  Follow all company safety policies and procedures. 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

•  High school diploma is required for this application.
•  Experience with measuring equipment is preferred. 
•  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications is preferred.
•  Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
•  Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•  Ability to work in a team environment.
