Quality Inspector (7:30 am - 4:00 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Inspector will be inspecting product and trimming threads on all goods from production floor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Trim threads and inspect finished garments.

· Fold and box all goods and bag when required.

· Unbagging goods to go to the production floor for modifications.

· Read and understand the production orders and sales orders to make sure garments are completed correctly.

· Will maintain a clean and organized work environment.

· Assist assembly and warehouse functions as time permits.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; the employee is frequently required to climb or balance; regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

· High school diploma or GED

· Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reading and/or training materials as well as federal/state regulations. 

· Previous experience performing quality inspections preferred

· Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs regularly

· Must be able to work in a warehouse environment

· Experience in a regulated industry is preferred

· Ability to work independently under his/her own initiative

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee is occasionally required to work near moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.
