Quality Inspector (Avery Creek) - 2nd Shift

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Quality Inspector (Avery Creek) - 2nd Shift. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $23 per hour.\n\nThe core hours are 4:00pm-2:30am.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Quality Inspector will perform final and in-process quality inspections as required to support manufacturing operations to ensure product conformance to specification. Perform containment activities for Quality issues identified internally and through warranty claims including sorting activities, final inspection, in-process inspection, and process verification. Drive corrective and preventive action to eliminate/minimize the Quality issues identified during inspections. \nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Perform final and in-process inspections across multiple product lines as appropriate to ensure Quality products to customers. \n\u2022 Perform containment actions for Quality issues including the inspection of suspect product and validation of processes that may be responsible for suspect product. \n\u2022 Support Quality Engineering to drive actions that continually improve CONC, Warranty PPM, Final Yield, Rolled Throughput Yield, and Supplier PPM. \n\u2022 Assist in the resolution of NCMR\u2019s and corresponding problem solving as needed. \n\u2022 Collect and input Quality data into databases and other software as appropriate for reporting and data analysis including, but not limited to, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Test Data Management System (TDM), Customer Quality Management System (CQM), and MQ1. \n\u2022 Monitor and enforce Quality procedures established per the ISO 9001 requirements. \n\u2022 Interact with front end engineering team to resolve quality defects and solve complex problems regarding product specifications. \n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 2-year Associate\u2019s degree OR High School diploma with 1 year of manufacturing experience \n\u2022 1 year Quality Inspection experience \n\u2022 No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. \nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Previous experience with AS400 \n\u2022 Previous experience with computer usage for work related tasks\n\n## Position Criteria:\n\n\u2022 Able to lift 30 pounds \u2013 waist, shoulder, overhead \n\u2022 Working knowledge of multiple product lines or multiple work centers within a product line throughout the plant \n\u2022 Working knowledge of ENOVIA/Plant Order Manager \n\u2022 Working knowledge of engineering drawings and engineering job packet \n\u2022 Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical assemblies and application \n\u2022 Proven history of safe work habits \n\u2022 Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision \n\u2022 Basic computer skills including Email communication and computer navigation \n\u2022 Communications Skills \u2013 written and oral \n\u2022 Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve problems \n\u2022 Effective communication skills within a team and to key stakeholder \n\u2022 Must be able to work overtime \u2013 weekdays and weekends \n\u2022 Ability to be on-call as required \u2013 must be able to flex to support business and team needs. \n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
