Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Inspector I - 1st Shift to join our team in South Milwaukee, WI.\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.\n\nThe hours for this shift are 6;30 am - 2:30 pm. This position introduces the foundations of conducting thorough inspections and tests on materials, components, and finished products to identify any defects or deviations from external suppliers\u2019 quality standards. Additionally, the Quality Inspector I role is responsible for documenting and reporting inspection results, managing nonconforming materials, and collaborating with production teams to resolve quality issues.\n\n \nAs an Incoming Quality Inspector I, you will: \n\u2022 Attend and participate in the daily Tier I Production meetings. \n\u2022 Conduct quality containments of external supplier components related to quality issues detected for Warranty, customer complaints and scrap / rework internal impacts. \n\u2022 Review and update the Incoming inspection list for all the parts in containment for external suppliers. \n\u2022 Review and define inspections and containments priorities with the operations and materials teams daily. \n\u2022 Participate and manage the Material Review Board. \n\u2022 Provide and follow the disposition of rejected material and scrap resulting from containments. \n\u2022 Perform inspections according with Work instructions provided by Quality engineers. \n\u2022 Fill reports for containment results and share them with the team by email. \n\u2022 Verify hold tags \u0026 create QNs for nonconforming material; assist in the disposition with the inspector team. \n\u2022 Log inspection results into the computer for purposes of generating quality reports. \n\u2022 Assist production personnel in specification and requirement interpretations. \n\u2022 Assist supervision and follow-up with engineering in resolving design and quality issues. \n\u2022 Work with material handlers to move material within, into, and out of inspection area. \n\u2022 Attend and participate in problem solving activities as needed. \n\u2022 Assist with SAP transactions (material movements). \n\u2022 Perform Ease and Process audits as needed. \n\u2022 Complete other duties as may be assigned to include production related tasks.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. \n\u2022 Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. \n\u2022 Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment and/or quality role. \n\n \nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Experience with basic measuring equipment. \n\u2022 Basic computer skills (Excel, Outlook, SAP, etc.). \nBlueprint reading experience\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
