Job Description - Quality Inspector II - 1st Shift
Eaton\u2019s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Quality Inspector II - 1st Shift. \n\nThe hours for this role are 7am-3:30pm\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $24.50-$27.50 per hour.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe primary role for the Quality Inspector is to perform inspections of parts, assemblies, and documentation. \n\nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on parts and products, including but not limited to mechanical and visual inspections. \n\u2022 Work to approved inspection checklists, engineering drawings, purchase orders, work instructions and specifications. \n\u2022 Utilize Non-Conforming Material Control process to document parts that do not meet specifications. \n\u2022 Responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. \n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. \n\u2022 No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. \n\u2022 This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. \u0027Green Card Holder\u0027), Political Asylee, or Refugee. \n\u2022 2 years of experience with mechanical and visual inspection of parts and assemblies. \n\u2022 2 years of experience using business class software in a professional employment setting. \nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Previous experience with Lean Six Sigma \n\u2022 Previous experience with Advanced Part Quality Planning (APQP) \n\u2022 Previous experience with interpreting Engineering Drawings, Workmanship Standards, Military and Federal Specifications, and basic GD\u0026T (Basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). \n\u2022 Previous experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) AS9102 \n\u2022 ASQ Mechanical Inspector Certification. \n\n\n## Position Criteria:\n\n\u2022 Demonstrates clear and professional verbal and written communication \n\u2022 Demonstrates strong organizational and time-management skills \n\u2022 Collaborates effectively to achieve shared goals \n\u2022 Provides responsive, professional and solution - oriented customer support \n\u2022 Report and interpret key data findings \n \n#IND123 \n#IND456 \n#LI-SD1\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
