Quality Lab Polisher - 1st Shift - Projob

Description

The Quality Lab Polisher will oversee welds on products to ensure efficiency and quality in production operations. Work under the direct supervision of the Quality Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare and analyze cross-sectional samples of welds and materials using standard metallurgical techniques (cutting, mounting, polishing, and etching).

· Perform visual inspection and microscopic evaluation of cut and etched samples to identify weld penetration, porosity, fusion, and other quality indicators.

· Document and record all test data, including photographs and inspection results, in reports or databases.

· Maintain and calibrate cut & etch laboratory equipment according to preventive maintenance schedules.

· Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer standards to determine inspection criteria.

· Work closely with production and welding teams to provide feedback and support corrective actions.

· Assist with internal audits, quality investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

· Maintain lab cleanliness and proper handling/disposal of chemicals used in etching processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 18+ years old
• 1+ years Quality experience (preferred)
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Good communication skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft products

Disclosure: This is a temp-to-perm position. All production employees for this role must be employed through Projob (staffing agency) for a minimum of 90 days.
