The selected candidate will deliver excellence, strive for continuous improvement, act with speed, and respond vigorously to change. \n\nThe ideal candidate is a seasoned people leader with a strong track record of coaching, developing, and mentoring teams. They possess deep expertise in complex quality policies and procedures, government regulations, and end-to-end operational workflows. This leader drives change by establishing, maintaining, and continuously enhancing standards and processes, while evaluating alternatives and balancing risk-reward trade-offs across programs and areas of influence. They bring a demonstrated ability to assess multiple data points to identify performance trends across an organization, enabling informed, timely decision-making.\n\nThis position will be based full-time on-site in Linthicum, MD near the Baltimore area.\n\nWhat You\u0027ll Get To Do:\n\n * Establishes and implements a proactive risk-based audit program for the Mission Systems sector\n\n * Ensure audits assess both compliance with requirements and process adequacy\n\n * Coordinate site and sector level audit plans to ensure maximum coverage of risk across geographically distributed teams\n\n * Identify and establish metrics to determine effectiveness of risk assessment process, audit planning, and execution\n\n * Conducts monthly audit opening and closing meetings with Sector and Quality leaders\n\n * Leverage data to identify trends, drive prioritization, and inform leadership decisions \n\n * Monitor compliance performance, escalate systemic risks, and drive preventative actions \n\n * Support Management Reviews through data analysis, reporting, scheduling and action tracking\n\n * Preparing for and supporting internal, external, and Corporate audit activities\n\n * Coordinates and maintains annual sector registrar schedule in partnership with Division leadership and Sector Compliance Manager\n\n\n\n\nBasic Required Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or Master\u0027s degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD\n\n * 3 years of demonstrated team leadership / formal engineering or operations leadership experience and / or significant technical projects or investigations\n\n * Strong knowledge of AS9100, AS9145, AS9102 and other regulatory compliance requirements \n\n * Qualified Auditor\n\n * Experience with risk and opportunity management processes and incorporation into financial EACs\n\n * \u200b Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes \n\n * Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance\n\n * U.S Citizenship Required\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or AS9100 Certified Lead Auditor\n\n * Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industry \n\n * Secret clearance\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $127,100.00 - $190,700.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
