Job Description - Quality Manager CNC Machining (AS9100 / ISO 13485)

Summary
Reata Engineering & Machine Works Inc. (“Reata”),
is a technology-driven CNC machining company specializing in complex components for medical, aerospace, and semiconductor customers. Our facility features advanced 5-axis CNC equipment, automation, and modern manufacturing systems, and we are committed to maintaining the highest quality standards in precision manufacturing.



We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager with CNC machining experience to lead our quality program and ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and ITAR requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role working closely with production, engineering, and customers to maintain and continuously improve our quality systems.




Key Responsibilities



  • Lead and maintain the company Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and ITAR

  • Manage and mentor a team of quality inspectors

  • Oversee first article inspections (FAI), RMAs, and corrective actions

  • Perform and support internal and external audits

  • Ensure machined parts meet GD&T requirements and customer specifications

  • Investigate and resolve quality issues and non-conformances

  • Work closely with engineering and production to drive continuous improvement

  • Assist with inspections when needed to keep production flowing

  • Interface directly with customers regarding quality requirements





Required Experience



  • Experience working in a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, or ISO 13485

  • Experience with quality inspections and precision measuring tools

  • Knowledge of GD&T and machined part inspection

  • Experience leading or mentoring quality personnel

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills





Preferred Experience



  • Quality Manager or Quality Engineer leadership experience

  • ASQ certification (CQE, CQM, etc.)

  • Experience supporting aerospace, medical, or semiconductor customers
