This position will manage every aspect of Quality for a dynamic team in a fast-paced, aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. Responsible to ensure quality standards are met and provides guidance on quality assurance matters to customers, suppliers, partners and internal manufacturing and operations departments. Executes Quality Assurance strategy to ensure product quality with established standards, government regulations and customer requirements with strict adherence to our QMS. In this function you will: Ensures business processes meet all quality system, customer, and regulatory requirements and the business unit (BU) remains in good standing. Maintains and/or gains all required accreditations for the successful operation and development of the business. Drives quality culture within teams and throughout the Davenport facility workforce. Serves as the quality interface for the customer. Engages site leadership on cost of non-conformance (CONC) improvements in each department. Maintains quality standards, accreditations, and procedures using internal and external audits to measure gaps and define improvement needs. Defines and develops the organization's competency requirements that deliver quality policy and objective expectations. Set quality targets, measures achievement, and facilitates process of developing action plans to address root causes of variances. Manages all quality assurance and control processes across the Business Unit. Proactively improves quality performance by identifying areas of the business where processes need to be strengthened. Drive a customer centric quality organization aligned with customer performance expectations. Drive product safety mindset throughout the business. Designated management representative for third-party accreditations. Trains, mentors, and coaches individuals on tool use and quality improvement objectives. LI-LD1 Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university is required Minimum seven (7) years' experience managing and leading teams, processes, and improving Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Mininum of three (3) years' experience working in an AS91000 and/or ISO 9001 environment and proven ability to understand and manage quality systems and regulatory standards within a manufacturing organization. “This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.” Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. Aerospace and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulatory experience. Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) experience is highly desired, including associated tools such as characteristics matrices, process flow diagrams, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEAs), Control Plans, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 standard - An understanding of budgets and the estimating process Quality assurance related experience in a design and manufacturing environment. Familiarity with regulatory requirements, Government/Military contracts, and Aerospace industry experience. National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap) experience.
