Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Specialist. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\nCore hours for this role are 6:00am - 2:30pm.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nPosition Overview:\n\nThe quality specialist will perform a variety of duties to ensure the production quality of all products in accordance with Lean Manufacturing, workmanship standards, assembly procedures, ISO 9001:2015 Quality system requirements and the Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS). \n\n\n \nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Assist in quality audits, workmanship defect reduction efforts, corrective and preventive action identification, analysis and reporting, inspection of returned units, special inspections \n\u2022 Assist departments in meeting product quality targets by working closely with Engineering, Materials Management and Operational Excellence \n\u2022 Perform inspection activities and videos/photos on in-process and completed assemblies as required. \n\u2022 Analyzes and reports production non-conformances. Coordinates feedback on problems affecting quality, BOM, tooling issues, raw materials, training and prints) to Supervisors and Quality Engineers., Mfg. Engineers, or product Engineers as needed. \n\u2022 Initiate, participate in and/or coordinate root cause analysis, internal 8D corrective actions (CARs), Failure Effect Mode Analysis, and Control Planning, as applicable for customer complaints or internal quality issues. \n\u2022 Train and educate associates in product inspection to drive performance improvements and communicate quality standards on an ongoing basis to Production Supervisor and teams as needed. \n\u2022 Create Final Inspection programs and assist in developing actions for continued Quality System improvements. \n\u2022 Follow commitment to Eaton Health and Safety (EHS) by following safety policies and procedures, setting safety objectives and following JSA procedures. \n\u2022 Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton\u2019s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment. \n\u2022 High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school\n\n\u2022 Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship\n\nNo relocation benefit offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of Raleigh, North Carolina will be considered.\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Basic understanding of the principles and methodology of Quality Control and Quality Assurance \n\u2022 Minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in quality, manufacturing, and/or engineering of electro- mechanical devices \n\u2022 Two years post-secondary education with an associate degree in electronics or equivalent related education such as Vocational Technical School \n\u2022 Understanding of Basic Problem-Solving and Lean Manufacturing concepts \n\u2022 IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified \n\u2022 Eaton Product knowledge\n\n## Skills:\n\n \n\u2022 Ability to frequently stand, bend, and walk \n\u2022 Ability to distinguish colored wired \n\u2022 Ability to lift 50 lbs. \n\u2022 Ability to use forklifts and power industrial equipment \n\u2022 Must have basic computer skills \n\u2022 Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook required \n\u2022 Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions \n\u2022 Demonstrates a strong customer service attitude \n\u2022 Strong written and oral communication skills \n\u2022 Ability to prepare, read, analyze, and interpret product drawings, manufacturing documents, quality specs, and industry/trade magazines. \n\u2022 Working knowledge of ASQ and ISO auditing standards\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
