Job Description - Quality specialist

job summary:The role of the Quality Specialist involves upholding the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO-9001-2015 standards. Responsibilities encompass various tasks such as creating and managing documents, ensuring tool calibration, conducting internal audits, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvements. Additionally, the Quality Specialist oversees vendor recovery from suppliers and identifies trends associated with warranty failures.

Must have 3 years of Quality Assurance experience.

Must have experience with ISO 9001 and Six Sigma Green Belt.

responsibilities:

Manage the calibration schedule of measurement tools across all departments, including third-party vendors, ensuring compliance.

Conduct in-house tool calibration upon request.

Lead efforts for continuous improvement within the QMS System, particularly in SharePoint.

Ensure maintenance of ISO documents in accordance with ISO standards.

Develop operational procedures, work instructions, and forms as necessary to bolster the QMS.

Conduct internal quality audits to maintain standards.

Foster the exploration of innovative ideas to drive incremental or significant product/process enhancements, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing departmental improvement.

Provide support, monitoring, and reporting on corrective action activities at the departmental level.

Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving the QMS.

Take charge of QMS reporting duties.

Manage vendor recovery and credit memo processing responsibilities.

Maintain records of dealer quality in the warranty system.

Generate updates and reports on service department KPIs, reporting on distributor service KPIs as well.

Conduct warranty trend analysis and perform data mining as required.

Fulfill other assignments as necessary and as requested.

Adhere to safety guidelines, departmental, and corporate policies and procedures.Qualifications

Associate degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

1-3 years ISO 9001 experience is required.

Green Belt Certification required.

Black Belt Certification required, or able to obtain within the first year.

Working knowledge of industry standard measurement and failure analysis tools such as Six Sigma, Fishbone, 5-why, and lean principles.

ISO 9001 experience

SAP S4 Hana experience a plus

BI Tool experience such as Tableau or Power BI a plus

Ability to perform detailed statistical analysis on data collected from all sources reference under responsibilities.

Good problem solving and analytical and discernment skills in various technical environments.

Ability to produce work subject to precise measures of quality and quantity.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; be reliable and punctual.The essential functions of this role include:
