Key Responsibilities:
- Perform internal Final Source Inspection on products prior to shipment to ensure that parts meet and or exceed Customer quality requirements.
- Review documentation for accuracy such as sales orders, work order package, receiving purchase orders, and C of C.
- Validate all Customer quality requirements have been met by reviewing in-process inspection, assembly and test records
- Verify product in accordance to engineering drawings and specifications to ensure its conformance
- Responsible for preparing all required documentation for shipment to customers including but not limited to Certificate of Conformance (C of C) and test reports (chemical, mechanical, electrical).
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to AS9102 standard as required
- Perform non-destructive and destructive tests such as paint adhesion, lap shear, T peel, and Tension tests
- Participate in DG internal Quality Audits such as Shelf Life, FOD, Process Audits, and Quality System Audits. Document findings in DG Quality Management System.
- Document issues and escalated these issues as needed.
- Foster a positive and cooperative work environment through effective communication with cross-functional departments.
- Actively participate in team meetings to provide constructive recommendations and initiate actions to support company initiatives/goals
- Consistently demonstrate commitment to company values.
- Performs mechanical inspection utilizing tools as needed.
- Performs and verifies visual and dimensional inspections.
- Other assigned tasks by management.
- Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies and per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum three (5) years’ experience as a Quality Inspector/Technician in a manufacturing environment
- Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard
- Experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
- Must be highly organized and able to process high volume workloads.
- Strong computer skills are needed.
- Must be familiar with reading blueprints
- Able to lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills in English
