Quality Technician

Job Description:

TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. has an opening in its Wellford, SC office for a Quality Technician who will perform basic quality techniques to track, analyze, and report on materials, processes, and products to ensure they meet the company's quality standards. Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for returns analysis, continual improvement activities, supplier interface and customer complaint handling
• Inspect and analyze components and products for conformance to specifications
• Develop inspection instructions
• Perform system audits to ensure procedures are being followed
• Gathers data to help support continual improvement activity
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 2-year degree with HS diploma or equivalent with 4 years of experience
• Must be knowledgeable of inspection and analysis techniques. Familiar with a QMS such as ISO 9000:2000. Prefer a person with a certification such as the CQT

Physical Demands:

• Standing for extended periods of time.
• Repetitive motion.
• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of parts and containers.
• Frequent lifting up to 50lbs – team lifts over 50lbs.
• Able to work in various temperature conditions.

Internal Qualifications:

• No final warnings
• No more than 6 attendance points
• Efficiency and Quality goals met for the previous 3 months
• Must be in current role for 6+ months.
• Must meet all job description requirements.
