Job Description - Quality Technician - 2nd Shift

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician - 2nd Shift. \n\nThe hours for this role are 1:45pm - 10:15pm\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $27.04 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential. per hour.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\nEaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton\u0027s plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nEaton\u2019s CPS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments. The Quality Technician role offers a full time work week of 40 hours and potential overtime. Hours: 1:45pm-10:15pm. Full Benefits and 401k plan is offered to you day one of employment.\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $27.04 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential. \n \nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n \nWhat you\u2019ll do: \nThis position will be responsible for inspecting products to ensure they meet company and customer quality expectations. \n \nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Perform part and product inspections, document the results, identify and quarantine Non-Conforming (NC) parts \n\u2022 Determine the Root Cause of Non-Conforming Parts \n\u2022 Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) of all production lines \n\u2022 Perform Control and Process audits as scheduled \n\u2022 Report inspections and audits using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word \n\u2022 Create Quality Alerts and notify operators of quality issues \n\u2022 Investigate Non-Conforming Product, use problem-solving techniques to resolve issues \n\u2022 Contribute to pre-production quality planning, including developing Quality Assembly documents, attending product and process reviews and technical training of production personnel \n\u2022 Support Manufacturing Engineering in machine capability studies for new and existing machines \n\u2022 Support Gage Calibration System \n\u2022 Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic): \n\u2022 High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution \n\u2022 Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship \n\u2022 Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50 mile radius) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. \n\u2022 Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics \n\n\u2022 Inspecting products to ensure they meet company and customer quality expectations\n\nPreferred: \n \n\u2022 Associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology or other technical degree \n\u2022 ASQ Quality Technician Certification preferred \n\u2022 3 to 5 years of work experience as a Quality Technician, preferably in the Power industry \n\u2022 Six Sigma and Lean certifications and/or experience \n\u2022 Statistical Process Control \n\u2022 Understanding of delta-wye 3 phases transformer and resistive load bank technology \n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Individual may be required to sit, stand and walk regularly \n\u2022 Individual must be able to lift up to 40 pounds throughout work shift . \n\u2022 Individual may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push and/or pull. \n\n#IND123\n\n#IND456\n\n#LI-KM1\n\n#LI-RR2\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
