Quality Technician - 2nd Shift (Coils)

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician - 2nd Shift (Coils). \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $27.90 per hour. The hours for this shift are 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm.\n\nSalaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\nThis position is offering a sign-on bonus of $3,000*, paid in two installments, less applicable withholding. \n*Bonus terms:\n\n * Bonuses are being offered for a limited time only. Provide feedback to operators who do not follow established procedures. Do structured or roaming inspections. \n\n \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n\n * Write up rejects in Internal Tracking System database.\n * Read and interpret coil winding sheets and specifications for coils.\n * Test coils for proper turns using ratio or turns testers.\n * Evaluate welds for quality in coil winding.\n * Support any issue in Coils or Cores when needed\n * Create or update Quality Alerts, Work Instructions, etc\n * Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.\n * Perform computer operations in Microsoft Office or other software used by Quality.\n * Must be able and willing to get approved to use Powered Industrial Vehicles and cranes used in coils and cores.\n * Other tasks as assigned\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications: \n\u2022 A high school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) is required. \n\u2022 The ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship is required.\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \nAll skills below are helpful but not required. \n\u2022 Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) \n\u2022 Coil winding experience \n\u2022 Typing Skills\n\n## Skills:\n\nPosition Criteria: \n\u2022 Follow established working procedures \n\u2022 Be responsible for his/her own work, under minimal supervision and instruction \n\u2022 Meet or exceed quality and quantity standards \n\u2022 Keep work area clean and orderly \n\u2022 Contribute suggestions for methods or product improvement.\n\n## ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
