A Quality Technician job opportunity for our client in Jurupa Valley. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring a product or service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance. To be considered for this role you will have a minimum 1-4 years" experience in engineering, procurement, construction, and turnarounds.

Quality Technician job duties:
* Responsible for ensuring a product or service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance.
* draft quality assurance policies and procedures,
* Interpret and implement quality assurance standards.
* Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards
* Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data
* Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems plan.
* Conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
* Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
* Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
* Collect and compile statistical quality data, analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system, develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
* Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
* Identify training needs and organize training, interventions to meet quality standards.
* Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers, evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
* Monitor risk management activities, responsible for document management systems, assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
* Perform changeovers and disassemble, assemble, and clean machinery
* Empty trash and waste into compactor or dumpster
* Raw material management including organizing, handling, weighing and measuring
* Visually inspect materials and report discrepancies in quality; Prepare materials for infeed process
* Perform routine and non-routine sample analyses.
* Document, communicate, and archive analytical results.
* Test quality control standards to ensure validity of sample results.
* Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
* Execute routine calibrations as required and maintain associated records.
* Participate on committees dealing with investigations, policy and procedure development, and improving the work place environment.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum 1-4 years" experience in engineering, procurement, construction, and turnarounds.
* Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma. Engineering degree and /or PE License is preferred.
* Trained and qualified as a Lead QA Auditor is preferred.
* CWI and API Certifications are preferred.
* Current or previous API Certifications are preferred.
* Quality inspection, auditing, and testing experience with implementation of corrective action programs product or industry-specific experience strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
* Key Competencies: attention to detail, communication skills: verbal and written, data collection, management and analysis, problem analysis and problem solving, planning and organizing, judgment decision-making, customer service orientation teamwork.
* Ability to work safely and comply with all safety requirements as necessary for support of job execution.
* Collaboration - working with other operations and maintenance team members to successfully execute tasks associated with operational trials of equipment.
