Job Description - Quick Lube Service Advisor



The Quick Lane Service Advisor is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while efficiently managing vehicle maintenance and light repair services. This role serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service team, ensuring accurate vehicle write-ups, recommending maintenance services, and coordinating timely completion of work. 


Key Responsibilities



  • Greet customer promptly and professionally upon arrival

  • Listen carefully to customer concerns and document vehicle issues accurately

  • Build trust with customers to promote long term relationships 

  • Provide clear explanations of recommended services and repairs  

  • Keep customers informed throughout the service process, including delays or changes 

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and handle concerns or complains effectively 

  • Present estimates and gain customer approval for work to be completed 


Repair Order Management 



  • Open and close repair orders ( ROs) accurately and efficiently

  • Ensure all customer and vehicle information is correct and complete  

  • Clearly document customer concerns and technician findings 

  • Monitor repair progress and communicate with technicians and parts department 

  • Review completed work orders with customer and explain charges 


Operational Efficiency



  • Schedule service appointments to maximize shop productivity

  • Ensure timely vehicle delivery and minimize wait times 


Administrative Duties 



  • Process payments and explain invoices

  • Maintain records of customer interactions and service history 

  • Follow dealership policies, procedures and manufacturer standards
