Quoting Specialist

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Working at our Byron Center Entry Door Division, the Quoting Specialist is responsible for interacting with our customers and ensuring we meet or exceed their expectations on a daily basis. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Work with production
  teams to identify and resolve quality issues.


• Support continuous improvement projects to reduce defects and waste.


• Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaints related to product quality.


• Work with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet required standards.


• Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process doors, and finished products.


• Maintain inspection records and prepare quality reports


• Supports ensure all quality control procedures are followed on the shop floor.


• Perform visual and dimensional checks using measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges, etc.).

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE$

• High school diploma required – Bachelor’s degree beneficial


• 3-5 years Millwork experience


• Building material exposure in wholesale or retail with exterior door knowledge


• Knowledge and understanding of the assembly process


• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and think outside the box


• Competency in Microsoft Office suite
