Job Description: Requires ability to obtain Secret Clearance

Mid-Level Product Review Engineer

Seeking a Mid-Level Product Review Engineer located in Heath, OH. The selected candidate will be responsible for production support guidance, navigation and control systems for use by the U.S. Navy. Close coordination with internal and external customers and functional representatives from Operations, Quality Assurance and other engineering disciplines will be required.

Applies knowledge of CLIENT design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle. Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis and develops dispositions for design non-conformances. Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions. Identifies documents, analyzes reported problems and communicates deviations that could impact design intent and safety; recommends and manages resolution. Develops and implements product/process improvements. Supports Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participates in design reviews. Represents the engineering community in the build through post production environment. Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards. Develops customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment. Participates in on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation or support team. Analyzes damage repair or structural modification to determine appropriate jacking and shoring, prevent collateral damage and assure a safe work environment. Designs interim structural repairs and conducts static strength analysis. Develops non-destructive test procedures, tools and standards. Conducts simple static strength analysis.

Position Responsibilities Include:
  • Apply knowledge of client design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle

  • Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards

  • Participate in on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation or support team
  • Analyze damage repair or structural modification to determine appropriate jacking and shoring, prevent collateral damage and assure a safe work environment
  • Design interim structural repairs and conducts static strength analysis
  • Develop non-destructive test procedures, tools and standards
  • Conduct simple static strength analysis

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 3+ years of experience generating/approving work instructions, work orders, planning documents
  • 3+ years of experience in NCM, or Nonconformance Management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), or other similar rigorous problem/analysis/resolution, processes to engineering development and manufacturing/production efforts
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, 3D models, wiring diagrams, and/or interface control documents
  • Experience in electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies

Describe the project/day-to-day activities they will be working on:
  • Product Testing, Electrical troubleshooting, Data Analysis

What are the Top 3-5 Technical/Software Skills needed to perform this role/job?:
  • MS. Office, Electric Circuit Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis

Education/Experience:
Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Ability to pass Background and Drug Screen if Required by Client.
