DescriptionJOB SUMMARY The Sportsbook Ticket Writer is responsible for accurately processing customer wagers and payouts while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced sportsbook environment. This role ensures all bets are correctly entered, tickets are properly issued and verified, and all financial transactions are handled with precision.

ResponsibilitiesHOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY • Accept and process sports bets, including entering wager details and issuing tickets • Verify, grade, and redeem winning tickets • Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain a balanced cash bank • Assist customers by explaining wagering options and sportsbook procedures • Address customer questions and resolve concerns promptly • Maintain betting displays and ensure a clean, organized workspace • Follow all company policies, regulatory requirements, and attendance standards
Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL NEED • Minimum 6 months of cash-handling experience • Strong math and accuracy skills; must pass a math assessment • Interest in sports and horse racing • Excellent customer service and communication abilities • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays • Team-oriented with a professional appearance • Must qualify for and maintain a gaming license
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods in a fast-paced setting • Comfortable working in a noisy, busy, and sometimes smoky environment • Ability to operate computer terminals and handle repetitive transactions • Must maintain focus and composure under pressure
