Radiation Therapist

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients as directed by the Radiation Oncologist
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment with precision and safety
• Monitor patient reactions and responses during treatment sessions and provide supportive care
• Maintain accurate treatment records and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory protocols
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized and effective care

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program
• AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification is required
• Must hold a current Iowa Permit to Practice Radiation Therapy
• Maintain 24 hours of continuing education within a 2-year period, as required by state licensing
• Current BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification
