Radiation Therapist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality radiation therapy to patients undergoing treatment for various medical conditions. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and radiation therapy techniques. The Radiation Therapist will work closely with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
• Prepare and maintain treatment equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning correctly.
• Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and explaining treatment procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patients during treatment sessions, observing for any adverse reactions or complications.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments administered.
• Educate patients and their families about the radiation therapy process and address any concerns they may have.
• Stay updated on advancements in radiation therapy techniques and technologies.

Years of Experience: 1 year(s)

Certifications:ARRT T, BLS

Charting System: Required, Epic

Skills

• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to radiation therapy.
• Proficiency in medical terminology related to oncology and radiology.
• Experience with medical imaging techniques, including CT scans and mammography.
• Familiarity with critical care and acute care environments.
• Expertise in radiation therapy procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
