Radiation Therapist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering radiation therapy to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the treatment process. This position requires a strong understanding of medical imaging, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Duties

• Administer radiation treatments to patients according to established protocols and physician instructions.
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring all safety measures are in place.
• Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing physical examinations.
• Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize advanced medical imaging techniques, including CT scans and mammography, to assist in treatment planning.
• Monitor patients during treatment sessions, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments administered and patient progress.
• Stay current with advancements in radiation therapy technology and techniques.

Years of Experience: 1 year(s)

Certifications: ARRT T, BLS

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to radiation therapy.
• Experience or training in critical care and acute care settings is preferred.
• Proficiency in medical imaging techniques such as CT and mammography is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• A valid certification or license in radiation therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Previous experience in a clinical setting is an advantage but not mandatory.

Shift: M-F 08:00 - 17:00; Occasionally 09:00 - 18:00
