Radiology Technologist

A health services network in New York is actively seeking a licensed Radiology Technologist to join their growing team. In this role, Radiology Technologist will be responsible for producing radiographs of various parts of the body and positioning patients under the X-Ray machine and regulates technical factors to produce radiographs.

The Radiology Technologist will:

Assist the Radiologists in X-Ray proceduresPrepare patients, draw contrast media, mix barium and maintain daily work logPosition and transfer patients to and from x-ray table using proper safety techniquesSelect proper technical factors for examinationDevelop film by automatic or daylight processingAssist the Physician in administering opaque media and during fluoroscopy exams.Maintain daily worksheet for assigned room; maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned rooms.Rotate radiographic/fluoroscopic/OR room when assigned; maintain adequate room supplies s/respiratory and suction tubing.Perform other duties, as neededQualifications:

Graduate of an approved school for Radiologic TechnologyCurrent NYS license/registration in Radiologic TechnologyARRT registeredPatient orientedSolid assessment and documentation skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organized
