As a Radiology/Mammography Tech, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with physician orders and imaging protocols.


• Ensure proper positioning, exposure, and image quality for accurate interpretation.


• Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures in the EMR system.


• Provide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.


• Follow strict safety, infection control, and radiation protection guidelines.


• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to support patient outcomes.


• Assist with quality assurance, equipment calibration, and daily operational checks.


• Responsible for EMR documentation and updating patient information and patient education. 

A few must-haves for Radiology Tech:

• ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) required.


• State of Georgia Radiologic Technologist license (or eligibility).


• Minimum of 1 year of recent mammography experience preferred.


• Strong knowledge of mammography positioning, imaging techniques, and quality standards.


• Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.


• ATHENA experience is a plus


• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations


• Good clinical judgement, strong interpersonal skills, resourceful and compassionate
