Ramp Dump Driver

RYCO Heavy Haul, Inc. is seeking an experienced Ramp Dump Truck Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a ramp dump truck to transport and unload materials at construction and job sites. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, equipment care, productivity, and following directions from supervisors and site personnel. This position requires precision, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate ramp dump truck safely and efficiently on construction sites, roads, and other designated areas.


• Load, transport, and unload materials including dirt, sand, gravel, stone, asphalt, and other construction materials.


• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and report any mechanical or safety concerns.


• Secure and properly distribute loads to ensure safe transportation.


• Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and applicable state and federal requirements.


• Maintain awareness of job-site traffic, personnel, equipment, and changing work conditions.


• Communicate effectively with supervisors, equipment operators, and other crew members.


• Assist with general labor and job-site duties when truck-driving work is not required.


• Keep the truck clean and properly maintained.


• Complete required daily logs, inspection reports, and other documentation.


• Report accidents, incidents, equipment damage, or unsafe conditions immediately.


• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B, as required for the equipment operated.


• Clean and acceptable driving record.


• Previous experience operating a dump truck or similar heavy equipment required.


• Knowledge of construction-site safety practices preferred.


• Ability to safely operate equipment in varying weather and job-site conditions.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors for extended periods.
