R&D Engineer II -Electrophysiology

Lead the design & execution of structured experimental plans assessing therapeutic output to drive data-based decisions Successfully completes work in one or more of the following: technology development, product design and development, bench & preclinical studies. Understand ablation output and therapeutic performance to guide product development and scientific knowledge surrounding products Create a strong team culture around high expectations & high performance Facilitate crisp decision making around key technical issues Provide clear communication to stakeholders at key technical updates Leverage internal/external partners as necessary to achieve project objectives Develop novel improvements to products or processes resulting in expansion of BSC's Intellectual Property portfolio in key strategic areas. May interface with Physicians to obtain feedback on concepts and performance of new devices Works cooperatively with quality, regulatory, clinical, and marketing on complex projects to ensure project success. 3-5 Years of experience within the Medical Device industry with BS degree, 0-3 Years with MS or PhD Strong data analysis & engineering skills Expertise in experimental design & execution to mimic physiological conditions Comfort and willingness to work with preclinical models Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on technical inputs from multiple and varied sources. Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills. Success working on a team and developing practical solutions to complex and difficult problems. Solid statistical analysis and signal processing knowledge Hands-on approach to problem solving Proven self-starter who runs towards critical issues, ambiguous requirements, or loosely defined challenges with a demonstrated ability to rally teams to achieve business results. Ability to research literature and develop clinical understanding with technical credibility to develop a strategy for regulatory submission
