With access to cutting-edge tools, information, and training, we\u2019ll support you in enhancing your skills and advancing your career. \n \nYour Opportunity: \nAs an R\u0026D Engineering Co-op at Boston Scientific, you will\u2026 \n\u2022 Research, develop, design, and evaluate materials, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment \n\u2022 Work \u201chands-on\u201d in performing testing, troubleshooting, and developing prototypes supporting the development of new products and sustaining of manufactured products \n\u2022 Utilize CAD/Solidworks, as required, to complete tasks supporting the above \n\u2022 Design and coordinate engineering tests and experiments \n\u2022 Perform basic statistical analyses, as necessary \n\u2022 Maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development \n\u2022 Gather and provide technical data for technical reviews \n\u2022 Contribute or prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results to the technical community \n\u2022 Contribute ideas to or generate Intellectual Property submissions \n\u2022 Work cooperatively and collaboratively with peers, engineering personnel, technicians, and management \n \nRequired Qualifications: \n\u2022 Currently pursuing a bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Biomechanical Engineering. \n\u2022 Must graduate between Fall 2026 \u2013 Spring 2027. \n\u2022 Must commit to a full-time co-op assignment during the following program period: July 13, 2026 \u2013 December 18, 2026.\n\n\u2022 Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered). \n\u2022 Must have reliable transportation to and from the Austin, TX, Boston Scientific Corporate location. \n \nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Strong interest in detailed and \u201chands-on\u201d mechanical design for medical devices. \n\u2022 Previous internship/co-op or research experience. \n\u2022 Knowledge of CAD \n\u2022 Experience in material fabrication technologies (Machining, 3-D printing, etc.). \n\u2022 Experience in report writing and PowerPoint presentations of technical content \n\u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams.\n\nRequisition ID: 623119\n\nMinimum Salary: $ 41080\n\nMaximum Salary: $ 69784\n\nThe anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) \u2013 see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com\u2014will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
