Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic R&D Lab Manager to lead our research and development laboratory focused on infrastructure and architectural coatings. This role requires a strong blend of people leadership, project management expertise, and technical knowledge to drive innovation and deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will foster a collaborative environment, motivate teams, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

• People Management 

• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of scientists, technicians, and support staff. 

• Create a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes engagement, accountability, and professional growth. 

• Project Management 

• Oversee multiple R&D projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. 

• Implement best practices in planning, resource allocation, and risk management. 

• Technical Leadership 

• Provide expertise in Energy & Infrastructure coatings, including formulation, testing, and performance evaluation. 

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements. 

• Motivational Leadership & Team Engagement 

• Inspire and energize the team to achieve ambitious goals and deliver innovative solutions. 

• Organize team-building activities and foster a culture of collaboration and creativity. 

• Effective Communication 

• Communicate project updates, technical findings, and strategic plans clearly to cross-functional teams and senior leadership. 

• Prepare and deliver presentations for internal and external stakeholders. 

• Stakeholder Relationship Management 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and strategic partners. 

• Represent the R&D function in cross-functional meetings and external collaborations. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field. 

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in R&D, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. 

• Proven track record in coatings technology (infrastructure and architectural applications preferred). 

• Strong project management skills (PMP certification is a plus). 

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
