R&D Project Manager

SAIC is seeking a Lead R&D project manager to support COBRA! The ideal candidate will advance Army Maneuver capabilities—including protected mobility, autonomy, sustainment, survivability, and multi‑domain maneuver support—within MFCD and related Army programs. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage R&D project planning, schedule, cost, risk, and technical performance.
• Translate maneuver operational needs into technical requirements and prototypes.
• Coordinate cross‑functional engineering (systems, hardware, software, test).
• Support user evaluations/Soldier touchpoints, experiments, and integration events.
• Ensure compliance with Army/DoD standards, acquisition processes, and reporting.
• Interface with Army Maneuver stakeholders, DEVCOM, T2COM, and MFCD leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years R&D project/program management experience supporting Army Maneuver or combat arms modernization.
• Background in maneuver‑enabling technologies (mobility systems, robotics/autonomy, actuation/controls, survivability systems).
• Experience with Army modernization priorities: protected mobility, adaptive sustainment, deep sensing, C2 resilience.
• Strong DoD acquisition knowledge; TRL progression; prototype‑to‑program transitions.
• SECRET clearance

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with actuation/flight controls, unmanned systems, platform integration.
• Familiarity with MDO concepts and Maneuver modernization strategy.
• Experience with DEVCOM/T2COM/PEO partners.
