Your responsibilities will include: Perform routine chemical etching and electropolishing on stainless steel, nitinol, and other medical-grade alloys. Collaborate with R&D/project engineers to understand the request and ensure the process will meet their needs. Work within fume hoods wearing proper PPE (lab coat, gloves and goggles). Operate the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Perform routine equipment maintenance on the SEM. Support R&D experiments by exploring and developing new electropolishing processes. Assist with DOE work as needed, and document steps performed. Work with internal resources and external vendors to identify and obtain supplies and services (MyBuy). Coordinate procuring and qualification of new or modified test equipment. Minimum of 3 years of experience with High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience, training, or apprenticeships Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team Strong attention to detail experience in a lab setting or related field with an associate's degree Familiarity with electrochemical processes, acid/base handling and lab instrumentation such as SEM, scales, thermometers, hot plates, etc. Basic data analysis and reporting skills Comfortable working with hazardous chemicals and PPE Strong organizational skills and self-motivated Familiarity with Mybuy Familiarity with SolidWorks
