Your Role: Rapid Re-Housing Case Manager
As the Rapid Re-Housing Case Manager, you will secure transitional housing for survivors by developing landlord partnerships and supporting clients in maintaining stable housing. You’ll provide holistic case management—including assessments, service planning, employment support, economic assistance, and legal advocacy—while collaborating with staff and community partners to ensure each survivor has the resources and stability needed to rebuild their life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop relationships with landlords to secure subsidized rental housing.
• Educate landlords on safety policies and survivor protections.
• Conduct intake assessments, determine eligibility, and create individualized service plans.
• Assist clients with housing searches, applications, and lease agreements.
• Conduct home visits and ensure compliance with housing requirements.
• Connect clients to employment, education, and financial assistance resources.
• Provide legal advocacy, including assistance with Orders of Protection and victim compensation claims.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with grant funding requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate support services.
• Commit to supporting survivors and fostering a violence-free society.
• Engage clients authentically while maintaining clear boundaries.
• Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds
• Align practices with professional ethics, such as the NASW Code of Ethics.
• Work effectively as part of the team; collaborating effectively across the organization.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and team activities.
• Perform other organizational and program-related duties as assigned.
• Complete IM+CANS certification, 40-hour Domestic Violence, and other required training.
What You’ll Bring:
• Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, education, or a closely related field
• Bilingual Spanish fluency preferred
• Familiarity with domestic violence dynamics and survivor challenges
• Experience in housing placement, case management, or advocacy
• Commitment to fostering a violence-free, collaborative society
• Awareness of the unique challenges faced by diverse survivor populations
• Strong trauma-informed communication and conflict resolution skills
• Cultural competence and allyship for LGBTQIA and BIPOC DV survivors
• Ability to engage and motivate clients toward housing stability.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Effective time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance
