Raquet Sports Maintenance
This key position is crucial in maintaining the integrity of the sports facilities working directly with the tennis director and tennis court maintenance supervisor. Primarily responsible for following a daily check list of duties described below:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Look at court reservations for lights
• Walk around and unlock 12 gates, check windscreens, look for puddles, overall court conditions
• Unlock shed, unplug cart, load cart with brooms, liner, blower etc.
• Gather 9 coolers set on court 6 (lights)
• Sweep and line all courts
• Blow off Pickle ball courts and clear all debris
• Take service cart with coolers to golf maintenance and refill and return to all courts
• Fill jugs and clean footbaths. Walk around pool area, clean tables, empty trash, remove all debris – leaves, limbs, etc. Put ant killer down when needed.
• Clean walkway in front of court 6. Check all drains for leaves, grass etc.
• Sweep and water bocce courts. Tidy up chairs, blow off debris.
• Put umbrella up between courts 1,2/3,4,5 on match days
• Sweep and blow off viewing area and walkways
• Attend to special projects as directed by Tennis Director. These include but are not limited to: weekly cleaning and maintenance of Wellness Center doorway fans and entrances, court prep for applying new material (clay). Applying new material. Repair and replacement of sprinklers. Weed removal and trenching behind courts. Removal of algae from courts. Hang windscreens. Cart maintenance. Other related projects from time to time as they relate to the ongoing success of the overall tennis, pickle ball, and bocce programs.
• When players have left after morning play, sweep and line all courts. Water courts reserved for evening play. If there are no reservations, no watering is necessary.
• Check rain bird timer and be sure it is set for watering that night.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/ Experience:
• High School Diploma.
• General maintenance skills for upkeep to tennis equipment, carts, ball machine, and irrigation system.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); outdoor weather conditions and extreme heat (nonweather). The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee must be able to lift and carry 75lbs.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is also required to walk, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
