SUMMARY OF POSITION
In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the STNA/Resident Assistant Caregiver provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse. Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent
- Ohio State Tested Certified Nursing Assistant STNA (if hired as a STNA)
- Experience within assisted living or memory care facility preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
- Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
- Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
- Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
- Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.
- Must understand infection control performance.
- Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
- Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
- Required to make independent decisions.
- Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
- Some positions may require every other weekend / every other holiday rotation
