RBSCL Program Coordinator – Expanded Job Description
The Residential-Based Supported Community Living (RBSCL) Program Coordinator oversees the daily operations, service delivery, and staff performance within the RBSCL program. This role ensures high‑quality, person‑centered services that support clients in achieving meaningful outcomes in their homes and communities. The Program Coordinator provides direct supervision, coaching, and leadership to assigned Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), fostering a culture of accountability, compassion, and professional growth.
Working closely with the Department Director, the Program Coordinator contributes to the strategic direction, development, and continuous improvement of RBSCL services. This position plays a key role in aligning program operations with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and best practices in supported community living.
Key Responsibilities
Program Operations & Oversight
Manage day‑to‑day operations of the RBSCL program, ensuring consistent, high‑quality service delivery.
Monitor client schedules, staffing coverage, documentation, and compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
Ensure environments remain safe, supportive, and conducive to client independence and well‑being.
Client Support & Person‑Centered Planning
Implement and monitor individualized service plans, ensuring all supports reflect person‑centered principles.
Collaborate with clients, families, guardians, and interdisciplinary team members to adjust plans as needs evolve.
Advocate for client rights, preferences, and opportunities for community inclusion.
Staff Supervision & Leadership
Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance evaluation for assigned DSPs.
Lead team meetings, deliver training, and support staff in understanding and executing client plans.
Promote a positive, professional work culture grounded in teamwork, accountability, and respect.
Strategic Development & Program Growth
Partner with the Department Director to develop long‑term strategies for program enhancement and expansion.
Identify opportunities for service improvement, efficiency, and innovation.
Assist with policy development, quality assurance initiatives, and implementation of organizational priorities.
Administrative & Compliance Duties
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and staffing records.
Ensure compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
Support budget management, resource allocation, and operational planning as directed.
Qualifications
Experience in human services, disability services, or supported living programs.
Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong understanding of person‑centered practices and community‑based support models.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while supporting a team‑driven environment.
Offer contingent upon the succressful completetion of a criminal background check, dependernt adult and child abuse background check, and drug screen.
