RCM Director - Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the comprehensive revenue cycle process, ensuring every step from registration to collections is optimized.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance revenue capture, minimize denials, and boost cash flow.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations, including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance.
- Collaborate closely with clinical, IT, and finance teams to streamline workflows and improve data integrity.
- Monitor KPIs and provide insightful reports to executive leadership, driving informed decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing RCM team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary liaison with third-party payers and external vendors, managing relationships and resolving reimbursement issues.
- Oversee audits, manage payer relationships, and spearhead initiatives to address reimbursement challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in an FQHC or similar healthcare setting strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), payer regulations, and healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and revenue cycle software systems; experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
