Job Description - RCM Implementation Specialist

Description

The RCM Implementation Specialist guides RCM customers through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition. This role is responsible to ensure the RCM team has all required documentation, configuration, and information necessary to support long-term RCM partnerships. This position requires expert knowledge of Office Practicum Software, RCM processes, and Customer Service.  Attention to detail, organization, ability to work independently, technical configuration skills, and working knowledge of billing procedures and terminology are essential.  

Essential Functions / Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Improve time-to-value for RCM implementation and manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously, engaging in hands-on account management for the duration of implementation phases for each customer
  • Attend client meetings to gather necessary information, review workflow, answer questions, and understand customers’ existing processes and align them with RCM best practices
  • Utilize information gathered to build blueprint and educate internal RCM team on client specific instructions
  • Provide timely and accurate updates and assessments of client’s readiness to implement services to RCM leadership and cross functional team members 
  • Accurately complete Office Practicum database configuration for all areas affecting RCM services
  • Serve as the RCM primary point of contact for onboarding customers, facilitating ongoing support, addressing questions, and resolving issues promptly
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions, feedback, and training activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of our customer success strategies
  • Monitor customer post go-live, proactively identifying opportunities for additional training, support, or system optimization to enhance customer satisfaction and success
  • Makes decisions, speaks with clients, and follows protocols with little to no supervision.
  • Ensures compliance with all state and federal billing regulations and reports any suspected compliance issues to the respective Manager/Supervisor
  • Works with RCM leadership and practice staff to improve processes, increase accuracy, create efficiencies and achieve the overall goals of the department
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Competencies:

  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
  • Effective communication and customer service skills required
  • Understand, support, enforce and comply with company and department policies, procedures and Standards of Business Ethics and Conduct
  • Maintains proficiency and level of knowledge with all systems and applications required for task completion
  • Maintain knowledge of insurance carrier payment policies and practices
  • Working knowledge and application of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding

Education / Professional Certifications or Licenses Required:

  • Relevant professional Certifications a plus
  • 2 or 4 year College Degree a plus

Experience Requirements: 

  • Three to five years electronic Medical Billing experience in a non-hospital setting
  • Experience in pediatric clinical settings a plus
  • Google Suite - Sheets, Docs, and Slides
  • CPT and ICD10 knowledge 

Work Environment / Physical demands/ Travel Requirements:

  • Quiet setting for computer and phone with minimal distractions
  • Minimal lifting requirements
  • Minimal travel to conferences and remote offices
