Job Description Description Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a R&D Engineer - Chemical Engineer to work in our Aqueous Separations and Radiochemistry department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Research Education Campus with every other Friday off. You will report to the manager of the Aqueous Separations and Radiochemistry department. Responsibilities Include: Apply Engineering principles to lead the development and testing of innovative chemical separation technologies and separations equipment for the treatment of used nuclear fuel, Homeland Security projects, as well as the recovery of rare earth elements from mining industry process and waste streams. Develop and test iodine and krypton separation processes from off-gas streams. Operate solvent extraction pilot plant facilities utilizing centrifugal contactors, mixer-settlers and pulse columns. Prepare proposals and pursue new funding opportunities. Prepare reports and journal articles and represent Department with external customers and at national and international conferences. Qualifications PR03: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar degree and 5 years experience, Masters Degree and 3 years experience, or PhD and 2 years experience PR04: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar degree and 8 years experience, Masters Degree and 6 years experience, or PhD and 4 years experience. Must be able to work in a culturally diverse environment This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Job Information: Salary Grade: PR0300 220 – ($110,316 - $181,956)/ - PR0400 230 – ($124,368 - $211,596) You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment. TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
