Job Summary
Snackruptors USA Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and food safety-focused Quality Control Technician to join our Quality Assurance team in Mountville, Pennsylvania.
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing inspections, testing, sampling, process verifications, and documentation activities to ensure products consistently meet food safety, quality, customer, regulatory, and company standards. This role supports manufacturing operations by monitoring production processes, conducting quality evaluations, identifying non-conformances, and ensuring compliance with HACCP, SQF, GMP, sanitation, and food safety programs.
The Quality Control Technician serves as a key resource in maintaining product integrity, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Schedule
Available Shift
- 12-Hour Rotating Shift ( Tuesday - Thursday)
Additional overtime, weekends, holidays, and schedule adjustments may be required based on production demands and business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Food Safety
- Perform HACCP, quality, food safety, and process verification activities throughout the manufacturing process.
- Monitor production operations to ensure compliance with product specifications and food safety requirements.
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, work-in-process products, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Perform sensory evaluations and product assessments to verify quality standards.
- Verify sanitation effectiveness and equipment cleanliness prior to production startup.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and allergen verification activities as required.
- Verify compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
- Identify, document, and escalate food safety, quality, and regulatory concerns immediately.
- Place products on hold when food safety or quality concerns are identified.
- Support corrective action investigations and root cause analysis activities.
Testing & Product Evaluation
- Collect product, ingredient, environmental, and packaging samples according to established procedures.
- Perform required testing and verification activities.

- Checkweigher Verifications
- Seal Integrity Testing
- Product Weight Checks
- Product Attribute Evaluations
- Allergen Verification Activities
- Review test results and communicate findings to Quality and Operations leadership.
- Escalate any out-of-specification results or process deviations.
Documentation & Reporting
- Complete and maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and verification logs.
- Review production documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Enter quality data into spreadsheets, databases, and quality management systems.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Prepare reports and communicate quality findings to leadership as required.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Compliance & Audit Support
- Follow and enforce all company food safety, quality, and regulatory programs including:
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- HACCP Programs
- SQF Programs
- Allergen Control Programs
- Sanitation Programs
- Food Defense Programs
- Workplace Safety Programs
- Conduct GMP inspections and food safety observations throughout the facility.
- Support internal audits, SQF audits, customer inspections, and regulatory inspections.
- Assist with audit preparation activities and corrective action follow-up.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with investigations related to customer complaints, product holds, non-conformances, and food safety incidents.
- Support process improvements designed to enhance food safety, quality, and operational performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve inspection processes, documentation accuracy, and compliance effectiveness.
Additional Responsibilities
- Communicate quality concerns effectively with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Leadership teams.
- Promote a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the facility.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry systems.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to analyze information and resolve practical problems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SQF, sanitation, allergen control, and food safety systems preferred.
- Experience conducting inspections, testing, and verification activities.
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance programs.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
