React Software Engineer III

As a React Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Bank, Digital Identification and Authentication, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
Codes, designs, and tests in a heterogeneous technology environment e.g. React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc
Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, component testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing capabilities
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Strong knowledge and experience on Javascript and the Web Framework
Strong knowledge and experience on Testing Automation, such as BDD, Cucumber, etc., as well as writing unit tests of complex components using Jest and React Testing Library and Component tests using Cypress and other mocking tools
Strong knowledge and experience on performance profiling.
Strong knowledge and experience on build pipeline, such as Jenkins, etc.
Good experience in Single Page App development using React for creating interactive UI's, Virtual DOM, Component life cycle, React, JSX, React Router ecosystem and concepts.
Good experience in Application development in TypeScript or JavaScript and its code rules.
Good experience in customizing CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and Foundation using CSS pre-processors LESS or SASS.
Good understanding of Material UI, Chakra UI, or similar component libraries.
Good experience in Axios, fetch, or similar promise based HTTP clients, RESTful, web services, GraphQL, Node.js, NPM, Git, Webpack, and other open-source build tools.
Experience in page optimization (performance), understanding of performance consideration for React applications and experience in Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Server-Side Generation (SSG).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Knowledge and experience on Cloud related technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, GKP, AWS
