Reading Interventionist (NE)(2026-2027)-Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, Ellicott City MD

Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, located in Ellicott City, Maryland, is seeking a full-time Reading Interventionist for the 2026–2027 academic school year. The Reading Interventionist is an integral member of a dynamic educational team dedicated to meeting the needs of every student within a diverse learning community. Working collaboratively with classroom teachers and school administration, the Reading Interventionist provides both in-class and pull-out instructional support for students who require additional intervention or enrichment in reading and literacy development. Responsibilities include assessing student needs, implementing targeted instructional strategies, maintaining accurate student records, communicating regularly with teachers and families, and monitoring student progress. The Reading Interventionist will also serve as a member of two student support teams, contributing to the development and implementation of plans that promote student success and academic growth.

Essential Functions

• Work with individual and small groups of students in and outside of the classroom.


• Maintain records of student progress.


• Coordinate with classroom teachers and school administrators.


• As a member of the Student Advocacy Team, help to identify students needing assistance or challenge work and provide resources.


• Provide support and resources to English-language learners.

Position Qualifications

• Passion for helping students.


• Willingness to work as part of a team.


• Willingness to research resources and best practices.


• Understanding of language acquisition.


• Teaching credentials are a plus.

Pay Range:  $50,000 – $60,000, Annualized
